Director: Richard Trevaskis
Musical Director: Ross Curtis
Into the Woods joins Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, Jack (of Beanstalk fame) and Cinderella with a childless Baker and his wife, all on their quest for “happily ever after”. But it is what happens “ever after” that makes the story, for nothing is what it seems in this fairytale world. No one emerges from the woods unscathed, but all are wiser for the journey.
This is classic 20th century music theatre, with appeal for anyone from 8 to 80. Directed by Richard Trevaskis (winner of 2006 Advertiser Oscart for Best Direction of A Musical for Therry’s The Secret Garden) and conducted by Ross Curtis, this one is sure to leave you amused, charmed, and perhaps a little thoughtful.
